Unfortunately, I'm still feeling lousy, but I want to write another post. TCM has been running a spotlight on remakes on Mondays, with a different sort of remake each Monday. Tomorrow, the morning and afternoon is going to focus on crimes, starting at 6:00 AM with the 1929 version of
The Letter, a movie I can definitely recommend. It will, of course, be followed at 7:30 AM by the 1940 Bette Davis version. The other three pairs are two versions of
The Maltese Falcon; two versions of
Gaslight; and
The Asphalt Jungle, which was remade as the western
The Badlanders.
Monday night sees Christmas remakes, as TCM gets into its all Christmas all the time for 48 hours or so.
