It's Christmas Month!

Now that we're in December, it's time for Christmas movies to start popping up. (Well, actually, they've been in heavy rotation for some weeks over on the Hallmark Channel.) It looks as though there's going to be weekend afternoon lineups of holiday-themed movies for the first three weekends in December on TCM. They don't seem to be celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas, so once Christmas is over after the prime time lineup on December 25, we're back to regular programming at noon on Saturday.

Anyhow, this first Saturday in December sees four movies, although I don't recall one of them having a Christmas scene (to be fair, I haven't seen it in years):

Bachelor Mother at noon, which was remade as Bundle of Joy (on at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 13);
Bell, Book and Candle at 1:30, which I have to admit is the one whose Christmas scene I don't remember;
The Apartment at 3:30, with Shirley MacLaine attempting suicide in Jack Lemmon's apartment over the Christmas holiday; and
It Happened on 5th Avenue at 5:45, which is the most obvious Christmas movie and a lesser known movie that's absolutely worth a watch.

There's also going to be a marathon of Christmas movies starting on the 18th, as the TCM website informs up.
