Eva Marie Saint learning from Marlon Brando how he was involved in her brother's death in On the Waterfront
Oscar-winning actress Eva Marie Saint died on Tuesday at the age of 102. Saint didn't actually make as many movies as one might think, even though TCM ran a bunch of them when she was star of the month for her 100th birthday in July 2024. In addition to winning the Oscar for On the Waterfront, Saint is well known for appearing opposite Cary Grant in North by Northwest. A Hatful of Rain doesn't get as much attention as it should.
As of this writing, I haven't seen anything from TCM about a programming tribute. There's enough going on in October with all the Hollywood movies and Mario Cantone hogging the channel that I'd guess a tribute is being pushed back to November.
