Has anybody else been having trouble getting into the TCM forums in the last few hours? I was on just fine this afternoon, but when I tried to connect this evening, I get an error page saying "This Account Has Been Suspended". No message from anybody at TCM that I might have done anything to be suspended, no way to connect anonymously -- it's as though I've been IP-blocked, not just suspended. Heck, I even tried using Opera's proxy server, and still couldn't connect. I did mention once on Thursday that I thought a certain poster was just looking for reasons to complain, and the poster in question basically sent me a PM saying he was going to bitch to the moderator about it, but that's all.
Is anybody else having problems, or have I been completely banned with no explanation because one user had a conniption fit?

Wow, I thought it was just me. Even sent an email to TCM wanting to know why I was suspended. Something must be wrong with the forums page. Maybe maintenance work? I'm relieved it's not just me.
I couldn't find the appropriate email address to send a message to.
You'd think they'd mention that maintenance on the board was going to be done, and that there would be a different error message if it were maintenance, so I have a feeling it's not regular maintenance.
I'm also glad it wasn't just me!
I can't view the forums either.
Normally this type of message is displayed when the page owner doesn't pay the bill. It's difficult to imagine that TCM has a problem meeting its payment obligations, so I'm hoping that it is simply some goof-up by the hosting company.
An interesting point. I hadn't even considered "this account" might refer to TCM's account with somebody. But I would think that in such a case the page would mention the hosting service that shut it down or something. This isn't even your generic HTML 404 error message or something like that.
At least I'm not alone, though.
All the other TCM pages are working, so maybe they've decided to discontinue the message boards, which they would do without notice. Or maybe it's just broken. No mention on their FB page -- perhaps someone should post there.
Well, it's 3pm in my neck of the woods and still no response from TCM in regard to my email.
I had a thought that maybe the message boards were a causality of The Turner Broadcasting money cuts? The Classic Film Union seems to up and running though.
For anyone who wants to send a message scroll to the bottom of TCM's home page and
click "contact us."
If anyone finds out the what happened to the forums please post.
I was in the middle of posting a reply when I got the "..Account Suspended" screen - about 8 pm 10-11-14
I used the Contact Us link at the bottom of TCM's homepage to ask for an explanation - no answer yet.
I thought my IP Address may have inadvertently been grouped with those of some spammers they've been blocking recently - this has happened to at least two users recently.
I wonder if every registered user's account has been suspended..?
I'm getting the same message. It's a relief to know that it's not just me, it's happening to everybody. Whatever the problem is, I hope it gets fixed soon.
According to a post on TCM's Facebook page it's a technical issue with the forum site. Anyone who has an account that is in good standing will be able to access the forums once the issue is resolved. May not be until after the holiday weekend.
